of a minor character. The whole of the above works have been designed and carried out in a style and manner reflecting the highest credit upon the Council's Engineer. In the preparation of plans, specifications, bills of quantities, reports, estima -- -tes and the general conduct of the Engineer's Department, Mr. Drake has always enjoyed the confidence and support of the Council, who consider him to be a gentleman of very consider- -able ability in his profession, and in every way fully qualified by training, and exceptional practical experience to undertake with credit the important duties of Town or City Engineer to any Municipality.

During Mr. Drake's tenure of office the special thanks of the Council has been conveyed to him on six specific occasions in appreciation of extra valuable services rendered by him to the Municipality.

In severing his official connection as Tow Engineer to the Mowbray Municipality the Council desire to place

on record its high appreciation of the work and faithful service rendered by Mr. Drake during a period of så years continuous

service, coupled with a sincere hope that every success may attend his future professional career.
